1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Magnify & Read Aloud or Magnify & Read Aloud Pro (“the Apps”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not use the Apps.

2. Definitions

• “Free Version” — includes core magnification features and displays advertising via Google AdMob.
• “Subscription Version” — full features, no ads, renewed annually unless cancelled.
• “Pro Version” — one‑time purchase, full features, no ads.
• “The Apps” — all versions of Magnify & Read Aloud collectively.

3. Description of the Apps

The Apps are digital magnifiers that use your device’s camera to provide real‑time magnification. Optical zoom is used first (where supported), followed by digital zoom up to the maximum capability of the device’s camera. Maximum zoom varies by device.

Depending on the version, users may:

• Capture images
• Convert captured images to text using Google ML Kit
• Have extracted text read aloud using the device’s built‑in text‑to‑speech engine

Features include:

• Real‑time magnification
• Optical‑first then digital zoom
• Flashlight support
• Accessibility filters
• Large‑text mode
• One‑handed operation
• Optional text‑to‑speech (Subscription & Pro Versions)

The Apps are accessibility aids and must not be relied upon for legal, medical, safety‑critical, or professional inspection.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use the Apps only for lawful purposes
• Not capture images you do not have the right to photograph
• Not rely on the Apps for medical, legal, or safety‑critical decisions
• Comply with copyright and intellectual property laws
• Ensure your device is functioning correctly and compatible with the Apps

5. Purchases, Subscriptions & Pricing

Free Version

• Displays advertising
• Includes limited features

Subscription Version

• Full features
• No ads
• Renews annually unless cancelled through your app store account
• Prices may change and will apply at the next renewal period

Pro Version

• One‑time purchase
• Full features
• No ads
• Pricing may change at any time

All payments, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are handled by the App Store or Google Play under their respective terms.

6. Accuracy and Reliability

Magnified images may be distorted. Optical character recognition (OCR) may misread text. Text‑to‑speech output may contain errors. You must not rely on the Apps where accuracy or reliability is essential.

7. Device Compatibility

We do not guarantee that the Apps will function on all devices, operating systems, or hardware configurations. Performance may vary depending on device capabilities.

8. Third‑Party Services

The Apps rely on third‑party services including:

• Google ML Kit (on‑device text recognition)
• Google AdMob (advertising in the Free Version)
• Firebase Analytics (anonymous usage analytics)
• Firebase Crashlytics (crash reporting)
• Android / iOS text‑to‑speech services
• App Store / Google Play (payments and licensing)

These services operate independently of us. We are not responsible for:

• Their data collection practices
• Their outages or errors
• Their privacy policies
• Their continued availability or accuracy

9. Data Storage & Loss

• Captured images are stored locally on your device.
• Text extracted from images is processed on‑device and not uploaded to our servers.
• We do not store personal data on external servers.
• We are not responsible for any loss, corruption, or deletion of images or data caused by device failure, user action, or third‑party services.

10. Prohibited Use

You must not use the Apps for:

• Illegal activities
• Surveillance, harassment, or stalking
• Fraudulent or deceptive activities
• Capturing images of individuals without consent
• Copyright infringement

11. Modifications, Withdrawal & Support

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Apps at any time. We are not obligated to provide updates, maintenance, or ongoing support.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
• We are not responsible for errors in magnification, image capture, text recognition, or text‑to‑speech.
• Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Apps is to stop using them.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it cannot be excluded under UK law.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless 2 Bears Software Limited from any claims, damages, or losses arising from your misuse of the Apps or violation of these Terms.

14. Severability

If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and 2 Bears Software Limited regarding your use of the Apps.

16. Force Majeure

We are not liable for failures or delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, internet outages, or third‑party service failures.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes must be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
